This website is to tell our story of our adventures. A way for family and friends to follow us, and see what we’re up to.
We’re Jeff and Wendy Williams who live in Flagstaff, Arizona (see our Home Base page here.) We’re taking our fifth wheel, and going to see the country! (see our equipment page here)
We titled this website “Leaving the Nest” because we are leaving our home, and grown children at home while we go adventuring. Our children are busy going to school and working (not freeloading!) and it was time for Jeff and I to retire and enjoy our life. Since the kids aren’t ready to leave the nest… We will!
We both spent a large portion of our working life in the Air Force, Jeff retired after 28 years of service and I completed 20 years. me 20 years. I worked for the Government another 15 years after my military retirement. And just recently retired from the National Park Service. We’ve both thoroughly enjoyed our work life, and are thrilled that we were able to travel the world and do and see so many exciting things.
Our first major trip is to Alaska starting in April 2020. A 5- 6 month journey north to slow down, see the sites and enjoy our “Golden Years”. See our Upcoming trips page here to see what we’re planning. We’ve been excited to transition from the “working world” to the “adventuring world!”
